Description

The natural wood grain on these Nyeri Spice Spoons are stunning to look at and are extremely useful around the kitchen. Each one has been handmade and carved from African grown olive wood. The Nyeri Spice Spoons come in four different designs. They are described as teaspoon style, another similar that has a deeper bowl, a spade shaped spoon and finally one that has a rounded bowl with a pointed handle. Each spoon is wonderful for adding spices to meal in an authentic way. These cute little items are special, and have a wonderful contrast in colour from light sandy colours to coffee bean.

These spoons are from Kenya, Africa, and due to the handmade nature of these products, designs may slightly vary but loveliness comes as standard. They are made entirely by hand using traditional skills handed down from generation to generation. Purchase a single spoon or a set of four. If you have a specific preference, reach out to us beforehand.

In comparison to plastic, metal and other wooden materials olive wood can be very expensive and the reason why is because olive wood is overall stronger and more beautiful. If you take care of your olive wood products properly they could last a lifetime. Olive wood has antibacterial properties which makes it perfect for food preparation. Although olive wood has a long growing time it does eventually stop producing olives which means that it needs to be replanted again making the wood completely sustainable and eco friendly.
